METHOD OF OZONE AIR TREATMENT OF AND STORAGE OF POTATOES AND FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PRODUCTS

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to agriculture and can be used in treatment, rehabilitation and storage of potatoes, vegetables, fruits and other agricultural products in hopper and bulk type vegetable stores. The method of ozone air treatment and storage of potatoes and fruit and vegetable products is based on a hopper on a horizontal air permeable partition wall, forming, in the lower part of the hopper, a processing chamber, joined by an air-duct with a centrifugal fan. The method involves throttling the ozone air stream, passing through the transported layer of products from top to bottom, using a screen with variable air permeability. The screen lies horizontally between the ozone source and the bulk weight at a height h from the surface of the transported layer. The centrifugal fan works in suction mode, creating negative pressure in the processing chamber. Height h can assume values from zero to a calculated value.
EFFECT: method provides for suppressing bacteria, viruses, fungal microflora and other pathogenic media, provides for efficient use of the ventilation system, economical power consumption and has wide range of uses.
